Grooming and clearing trails
What’s the difference between grooming and clearing a trail?
- Grooming: A mechanical vehicle compacts the snow.
- Wooded trails are groomed because snow removal and abrasives are not an option on these surfaces.
- We recommend that you wear crampons on groomed trails.
- When temperatures change, be sure to abide by the signage on site.

- Clearing: Snow is removed from the trail and abrasives are spread as needed.
