Grooming and clearing trails

What’s the difference between grooming and clearing a trail?

• Grooming: A mechanical vehicle compacts the snow.
  • Wooded trails are groomed because snow removal and abrasives are not an option on these surfaces.
    
  • We recommend that you wear crampons on groomed trails.
  • When temperatures change, be sure to abide by the signage on site.

• Clearing: Snow is removed from the trail and abrasives are spread as needed.
